Right at our front door, discover the fantastic Lake Glenmaggie - offering swimming, boating, water skiing, canoeing, fishing, birdwatching, bushwalking and more.

Glenmaggie Weir Wall Reserve, Information Display

& Picnic Area

A free undercover picnic area and information display, outdoor BBQs, as well as a playground for the kids, public toilet facilities and a fantastic view of the lake and weir wall. Located on the opposite side of Lake Glenmaggie off Weir Rd.

Blores Hill Mountain Bike Park

Blores Hill Mountain Bike Park is set over 50 acres of natural bushland and boasts premier mountain biking trails - ranging from beginners to hardcore mountain bikers, along with a loop for the whole family. You can also walk or ride your horse through the area (but not on the MTB tracks). There is a designated horseriding track called Evelyn's Trail. Blores Hill is located at the intersection of Tinamba/Glenmaggie Rd. and Weir Rd.

Heyfield Pump Track, Skate Park, Apex Park Playground & Swimming Pool

You'll find all of these fun activities just off Mary St and George St in Heyfield, and right next to the Gippsland Plains Rail Trail. Set in lovely, peaceful surrounds for the whole family to enjoy all year round. Heyfield swimming pool is open seasonally with two different sized pools and barbecue facilities.

Local wineries

Glenmaggie Wines (located on Mclachlan's Rd)  and Blue Gables Vineyard (located on Lanigan's Rd) produce fantastic local wines in beautiful surroundings. At Glenmaggie Wines you can book a Sunday tasting with delicious food platters, and at Blue Gables you can enjoy woodfired pizza at the cellar door. Gippsland Plains Rail Trail

Running right through Apex Park in the middle of Heyfield, you can walk or ride the length of the trail all the way to Tinamba, Maffra and Stratford in one direction, or through to Cowwarr, Toongabbie and Traralgon in the other direction. For more info check out:

Lakeside Antique Machinery Museum

A fascinating and seemingly endless display of vintage machinery, steam engines, tools & equipment from eras gone by. Open by appointment only for groups of 10 or more. Well worth gathering a few friends and having a look. You'll find it right here at Lake Glenmaggie on the Tinamba/Glenmaggie Rd.

Heyfield & District Museum

A terrific display continually being improved and added to by a dedicated group of locals. You'll find the museum on Temple St in Heyfield. Open every Saturday 10.00am - 12.00pm, or by appointment. For more info, head to:

Timber Workers' Memorial

This is a beautifully designed and thoughtful memorial, dedicated to those who lost their lives while working in the Victorian timber industry. You'll find it on Mary St, Heyfield,  within the Lions Club Apex Park along the Rail Trail.

Gippsland Vehicle Collection

It's an everchanging and fantastic display of cars and motorbikes - both old and new, and well worth a look. Open Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon, 10am to 4pm, and all school holidays. Located at 1A Sale Rd, Maffra. For more info, check out:
